Extreme DA to Exhibit GoldTime Timing Sign-Off at DAC

Extreme DA(TM) will exhibit its new-generation timing sign-off solution, GoldTime(TM), in Exhibit and Suite 1561 at the 44th Design Automation Conference (DAC), June 4-8, 2007 at the San Diego Convention Center in San Diego, Calif. The fast-growing company is the emerging leader in new-generation timing analysis software that improves the performance and parametric yield of integrated circuits (ICs) by delivering a breakthrough in speed and capacity of analysis, and by addressing process variations in semiconductor designs.

Extreme in Exhibit 1561

  • Extreme DA will provide informal demonstrations of its new GoldTime product featuring Extreme’s new ThreadWave(TM) technology for the fastest, highest capacity timing closure.
  • Technical representatives will be on hand to talk with attendees about IC designs and how to improve them by analyzing process variations to increase manufacturing yields.
  • Exhibit visitors can share with Extreme DA their opinions on crucial IC design issues by completing a brief survey, which will also enter them in a drawing to win one of three Apple iPhones.

  • Extreme DA will host private meetings in its suite to demonstrate to prospective customers its new product and reveal its future technologies.

Hands-on Tutorial on “Timing Closure: Requirements for Variation Aware Design”
Presented by Extreme DA, PDF Solutions, Inc. (NASDAQ: PDFS), Texas Instruments (NYSE: TXN), and UMC (NYSE: UMC; TAIEX: 2303), the hands-on tutorial on “Timing Closure: Requirements for Variation Aware Design” will be held on Thursday, June 7, 2007 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon in Room 11A in the Convention Center.

Tutorial Summary:
The components of a next-generation timing analysis methodology will be introduced and demonstrated. Participants will view practical methodology examples beginning with front-end and back-end process characterization that captures variability statistics of systematic and random variations. Experiences from the Foundry, IDM, and EDA industries will provide complete coverage of timing closure issues. The use of the extracted variability data in the library characterization, RC extraction, timing analysis, and optimization flows will be demonstrated.
