MIPS to Launch Next-Gen Technology at Microprocessor Forum
At next week's Microprocessor Forum, MIPS Technologies, Inc. (Nasdaq: MIPS) will unveil its next-generation processor family for the 32-bit embedded market. The advanced technology is uniquely designed to address the ever-increasing performance demands required for today's consumer electronics applications-including HD DVD, Blu-ray(TM) Disc, IPTV and 802.11n. These high-growth segments coincide with MIPS' core market focus throughout the digital living room and connected home-where the company currently holds a leadership position.
The MIPS Technologies' presentation is scheduled for Wednesday, May 23 at 2:50 p.m. at The Doubletree Hotel in San Jose, Gateway Ballroom. The presentation will feature Vidya Rajagopalan, director of engineering at MIPS, who will discuss details of the innovative microarchitecture and pipeline optimized for industry-leading performance, area-efficiency and low power consumption.
