eSOL announced that its Real-time Operating System, PrKERNELv4, was selected for Casio’s newest “EXLIM Hi-ZOOM EX-V7″ and “EXILIM ZOOM EX-Z1050″ models, which went on the market February 23, 2007. PrKERNELv4 provides core management features for the complete digital camera system, including task management, memory management and real-time processing. PrKERNELv4, full of eSOL’s RTOS technical expertise and know-how, helps to realize superior real-time features and high system reliability.
“EXILIM Hi-ZOOM EX-V7″ offers a high-powered inner zoom lens in a slim and stylish form. It is the world’s slimmest model with a 7x optical zoom lens (*1). The cameras have deployed four innovative technologies to reduce blurring so that you can take still pictures and movies using high-powered zoom in 7.2 mega pixel resolution with less failures. Also, “EXILIM ZOOM EX-Z1050″, a 10.1 mega pixel resolution, 3x optical zoom model is equipped with blur-reduction technologies using the velocity and vector analysis of a moving subject and the auto-tracking and auto-focus function. It also offers the fastest in class, 7 shots per second, high-speed continuous shooting, for capturing every split second of an action-packed scene (*2).
PrKERNELv4 is a leading µITRON compliant real-time OS. From its release in 1999, it is used in wide variety of products, from digital home electronic devices – including cellular phones and digital cameras, car navigation systems, printers and even FA equipment. It is fully compliant to the µITRON 4.0 standard profile and it implements various extension functions and PrKERNELv4 original extensions. Kernel common part is based on MISRA-C; it e realizes superior real-time features, with a program size ideal for embedded systems.
