MathWorks to Discuss Model-Based Design at DATE
Experts from The MathWorks will discuss the use of Model-Based Design and embedded systems within the electronic system industry through tutorials and workshops at Design, Automation, and Test in Europe (DATE) Conference 2007, Nice, France, April 16-20, 2007.
The MathWorks, located in Booth R20 on Rhodes Level 2, will discuss the use of Model-Based Design for electronic design automation and embedded systems design at DATE 2007 in Nice, France. Experts from the Company will participate in the technical program and provide in-booth demonstrations on algorithm development, system design, automatic code generation for C and HDL, and continuous test and verification.
The MathWorks will also unveil the newest version of Fixed-Point Toolbox, enabling designers to further bridge the gap between system design and implementation by providing accelerated simulation speed and enhanced floating- to fixed-point conversion capabilities.

- Wednesday, April 18, 2:30 p.m. -4:00 p.m., Location: Gallieni 2, Level 2 - Pieter Mosterman from The MathWorks will moderate a technical session titled, "Model-Based Design for Embedded Systems," which includes presenters from Vanderbilt University (US), Motorola Labs (US), UC Berkeley (US), General Motors (US), ETH Zurich (Switzerland), TU Graz (Austria), TU Munich (Germany), CISC Semiconductor Design and Consulting (Austria)
- Wednesday, April 18, 3:30 p.m. -5:30 p.m., Location: Maia Room, Rhodes Level - Mike Woodward from The MathWorks will present a joint workshop with VaST Systems, Forte Design Systems, and Calypto Systems discussing an embedded systems design solution workflow titled, "From algorithm to RTL"
- Thursday, April 19, 1:00 p.m. -2:30 p.m., Location: Gallieni 3 - Sudhir Sharma and Prashant Rao from The MathWorks will present a joint workshop with Doulos titled, "Rapid DSP Implementation Techniques for FPGAs"
