Synopsys Enhances Implementation, Verification Solution

Synopsys, Inc. (Nasdaq: SNPS), a world leader in semiconductor design software, announced that it is enhancing its comprehensive low-power verification and implementation solution to ensure compliance with the widely supported Unified Power Format (UPF) 1.0 Accellera standard. Proven by over 20 successful multi-voltage tapeouts, the Synopsys solution spans the entire low-power design flow from hardware/software power trade-off at the system level through simulation and static verification of low-power intent, complete low-power RTL-to-GDSII implementation and sign-off, and a comprehensive set of low-power intellectual property (IP). The enhanced solution with support for UPF 1.0 is expected to be available in the second half of 2007.

Enea Acquires QiValue, Expands Embedded Linux Solutions

Enea (STO:ENEA) (Nordic Exchange /SmallCap /ENEA), a world leading provider of telecom software and services, announced that is has acquired Swedish QiValue Technologies, a leading provider of Linux solutions. The acquisition will bolster Enea's Linux expertise, strengthen its software offering, and increase Enea's ability to offer Embedded Linux solutions. Enea expects the acquisition to contribute SEK 14 million (MUSD 2) of additional revenue as well as a positive margin during 2007.

Kontron's Revenue Grows by 35%, Profit by 56%

In the 2006 financial year just past, Kontron AG, on a purely organic basis, realized a record rate of growth. The company generated revenue growth of 35 percent, with a rise to EUR 405 million (2005: EUR 300 million), and an increase of 56 percent in net profit to EUR 25.7 million (2005: EUR 16.5 million). In the best year in the company's history, operating cash flow at the same time doubled nearly to EUR 23.4 million and the company's liquidity was up by EUR 11 million, resulting in a cash position of over EUR 64 million. "This solid financial situation will allow us to once again increase the dividend payout for shareholders for the 2006 financial year, compared with 2005, and to continue with our stock purchase program," stated CEO Hannes Niederhauser at the company's balance sheet press conference in Munich. For 2007, CEO Niederhauser expects "a further double-digit increase in revenue, and net earnings growth at a faster rate."
