Concurrent Unveils AdvancedMC Dual Display Graphics Adaptor

Concurrent Technologies announces an AdvancedMC(TM) (AMC) dual display video/graphics adaptor. The AM 400/x01 is a high-quality, low-power embedded graphics AMC module supporting a variety of Digital Flat Panel (DFP), CRT or S-Video devices in single or dual display configurations. In addition, an onboard 2.5" SATA hard disk drive (HDD) can be added - all fitting within a single-width full-size AMC slot. A mid-size front panel option is available without the S-Video interface.

Advanced Driver Assistance Systems to Reach 63 Million Units

Following an extensive study into the various high technology advanced driver assistance systems, the Strategy Analytics Automotive Electronics Service report, "ADAS: Assessing Opportunities and Challenges," reveals a current, low, one percent penetration rate for ADAS applications in light vehicle production — except for camera and parking assistance systems which already stand at 20 percent. However, there is significant potential for future growth due to governmental concerns over the high rate of collision injuries, as vendors bring new developments to the market. ADAS will become easier and less costly to install, encouraging automakers to fit systems on more lower segment models, forecast to reach 10 percent penetration by 2013.
