Kontron Unveils KEEX-2000 3.5-inch Embedded SBC with AMD LX 800

Kontron announced the KEEX-2000 3.5" embedded SBC based on the 3.5 inches form factor platform and implementing the AMD LX 800@0.9W processor with CS5536 chipset. The KEEX-2000 is one of the industry's smallest and most widely adopted SBC form factors. The dimensions of the KEEX-2000 3.5" Form Factor SBC are 105 mm by 146 mm.

The AMD LX 800@0.9W processor and one DIMM socket supporting DDR 400 SO-DIMM memory up to 1GB provide high computing capability with low power consumption. The KEEX-2000 supports CRT and 24-bit single channel LVDS graphics interfaces (optional TTL interface), 2x COM port, Gigabit Ethernet, 2x SATA 1.5Gb/s, 4x USB 2.0, parallel port, floppy port, Mini-Din PS/2 keyboard/mouse, AC'97 audio and watchdog timer. Expansion capabilities include a dedicated and embedded PC/104 connector or PC/104-Plus via daughter board, Mini PCI socket, and Type II CompactFlash socket.

The Kontron KEEX-2000 provides greater flexibility for developers of embedded applications by offering 24-bit single channel LVDS graphics interfaces and increased I/O bandwidth, making it this 3.5" platform ideally suited for automation, POS, KIOSK, data acquisition, industrial control, thin client, and other embedded applications.
