The 2007 debut episode of RapidIO(R) Radio from the RapidIO Trade Association previews a new white paper, System Interconnect Fabrics: Ethernet Versus RapidIO(R) Technology, available February 6th, which concludes that for many embedded applications, RapidIO technology outperforms Ethernet. The Podcast initiates a discussion on the comprehensive compilation of embedded interconnect information, the high-level market perspective, in the paper and technical examination of the two technologies.

Author Greg Shippen, system architect for Freescale Semiconductor's Digital Systems Division, NCSG and a member of the RapidIO Trade Association's Technical Working Group joins RapidIO Trade Association Executive Director Tom Cox in this lively discussion. The Podcast is immediately available for download.
