RapidIO Trade Association, Light Reading Sponsor RapidIO Webinar

The RapidIO Trade Association and Light Reading have teamed up to sponsor a webinar, "RapidIO: Ready and Steady," to be held on January 30, 2007 at 12:00 p.m. ET/5:00 p.m. GMT. This event will provide an update on the standard and explain the business benefits of adopting RapidIO technology as more products become available and the focus shifts towards interoperability and design. The event will be moderated by Simon Stanley from Earlswood Marketing.

"The use of RapidIO is quickly accelerating and this Light Reading webinar will explain the benefits of adopting RapidIO for demanding multiprocessor applications in wireless, wireline and storage equipment," said Simon Stanley, founder and principal consultant, Earlswood Marketing Limited.

The webinar will feature Tom Cox, executive director of the RapidIO Trade Association, as well as discussions from RapidIO Trade Association members Freescale, IDT, Tundra, and STx.

"This webinar represents a unique opportunity to learn about the interoperability between RapidIO devices, internetworking with other interconnects, next-generation product development, and multi-vendor system level application deployment for RapidIO designs," said Tom Cox, executive director, RapidIO Trade Association.
