Toumaz Technology Limited announces that it has been awarded first prize at the fifth Oracle(R) PartnerNetwork Innovation Award for Europe, the Middle East and Africa at a ceremony in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The award from Oracle, the world’s largest enterprise software company, recognises the outstanding innovation of Toumaz’s breakthrough Sensium(TM) platform for wireless vital signs monitoring.
The OPN Innovation Award is designed to reward innovation by OPN members, where initiatives using Oracle’s products and technology are applied to create value for the customer and generate new business potential.
Toumaz was named overall winner in recognition of its groundbreaking Sensium solution, an innovative ultra-low power wireless platform that allows healthcare providers to remotely monitor multiple vital signs in real-time. Designed to work with a range of physical and bio-chemical sensors, the multi-function Sensium system can be attached to the body with a sticking plaster to deliver continuous, non-intrusive monitoring and analysis of vital signs including electrocardiograms (ECG), blood oxygen and glucose, body temperature, and even motion and mobility. This real-time vital signs information is transmitted through an Oracle Sensor Edge Server for further processing and filtering and is seamlessly integrated into an Oracle Healthcare Transaction Database where it is analysed and made available to the appropriate specialists. This end-to-end system provides the foundation for a total patient care package, with the potential to revolutionise health and lifestyle management.
“We are delighted that the innovation and importance of our solution has been recognised by Oracle,” said Keith Errey, Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer, Toumaz Technology Limited. “The OPN Innovation Award is a very significant endorsement and will be a valuable asset in helping us to achieve further success in the market,” added Toumaz Technology Co-Founder and Chairman, Professor Chris Toumazou.
“The ability to innovate has always been integral to Oracle’s success, and our partners also recognize that innovation is one of the keys to maintaining a leadership position,” said Vasu Briquez, Chair of the Oracle Innovation Board in EMEA, said. “The OPN Innovation Award provides us with an excellent opportunity to encourage and reward the outstanding initiatives that are being developed in our partner community.”
