TeleSoft VoIP Stack Ports to Micrium uC/OS-II RTOS, uC/TCP-IP Networking

Posted by EDA Geek News Staff in Networking, RTOS on Wednesday, December 13, 2006

TeleSoft International announced that its Voice Over IP (VoIP) protocol stack is now pre-ported to uC/OS-II, the real-time operating system (RTOS) and to uC/TCP-IP networking software that Micrium sells to automotive and avionics applications, consumer electronics, medical devices, military and aerospace applications, networking systems, and systems-on-a-chip. Adding VoIP to Micrium's embedded components enables customers to develop state-of-the-art multimedia with RFC compliant SIP and RTP protocols.

The TeleSoft CompactSIP, Session Initiation Protocol, provides one of the smallest memory footprints for cost-sensitive Internet telephony applications such as mobile and IP phones, gateways, EV-DO PC datacards and PDAs — applications where very small code sizes and high performance operations are top priorities. It supports Linux, VxWorks, Nucleus, MQX and Windows.

uC/OS-II, The Real-Time Kernel from Micrium, is a highly portable, ROMable, very scalable, preemptive real-time, multitasking kernel (RTOS) for microprocessors and microcontrollers. uC/TCP-IP is a compact, reliable, high performance TCP/IP protocol stack. Built from the ground up with Micrium's renowned quality, scalability and reliability, uC/TCP-IP enables the rapid configuration of required network options for 16, 32 and 64-bit CPUs.
