Kontron, KW-Software, TenAsys and Profimatics are offering a new innovative PC-based control system for OEM customers. The new control system is based on ThinkIO. With the IEC 61131 PLC runtime system ProConOS, the IEC 61131 PLC programming system MULTIPROG and the machine visualization ProVisIT, KW-Software provides the basic technology for the new control system. Profimatics supplies the real-time operating system INtime which runs in parallel with Windows and ensures real-time. With INtime, Profimatics also provides the adaptation for I/O systems, e.g. for Ethercat and Hilscher CIF.

"INtime enables ProConOS to guarantee a high degree of reliability and determination on PC platforms," says Kim Hartman, TenAsys VP Sales and Marketing.

In combination with an Intel Core Duo processor, ProConOS can run under INtime on one CPU while the second CPU runs with Windows and executes (ie-ProVisIT visualization tasks).

Kontron is one of the global market leaders in the field of embedded computers - with many years of experience and competence in the industrial automation applications environment. A multitude of the projects contains customer-specific adaptations for OEMs including solutions for increased demands.
