Advanced Technetix, Inc. (Pink Sheets:AVXN) announced today that the company has acquired patented electromagnetic radiation suppression nanotechnology earlier this week from Nanonize Corporation, a privately held company located in Ontario, Canada, prior to that company collapsing its operations for lack of ongoing funding. Advanced Technetix will begin incorporating the technology into its existing products and planned consumer electronics accessories, including its patented AccessKey(TM) mobile set-top box family of products.
The Company also plans to sell these nanotechnology suppression powder compounds directly to cell phone manufacturers such as Nokia (NYSE:NOK) and Motorola, Inc. (NYSE:MOT), as well as other portable device manufacturers such as Research In Motion (RIM) (NASDAQ:RIMM), amongst others.
George Stevens, Advanced Technetix’s Chief Executive Officer said, “The intellectual property (IP) we have acquired, specifically, is a ‘nanopowder’ that when incorporated into the manufacturing of a consumer electronics device, effectively shields users from the electromagnetic radiation the device emits during usage. We were able to acquire this IP that has been developed in conjunction with several leading universities in China, Europe, Canada and the U.S. from Nanonize prior to its collapse, and thus we got it for a fraction of the technology’s original capital investment and, we believe, its current intrinsic value.” He continued, “While it seems something of an outlier in the context of our core business, we have reviewed the technology and patents and are certain that the technology will only enhance our existing and future products, while providing the opportunity to profit by the sale of the technology to the global consumer electronics manufacturing complex.”
