Sequence Design to Moderate EDAC Panel on Doing Business in India

Posted by Ken Cheung in Events, Training on Friday, November 10, 2006

Sequence Design president and CEO Vic Kulkarni is set to moderate an EDAC panel Tuesday, Nov. 28 on “Doing Business in India.” Industry leaders from EDA and venture capital will take on multiple topics, including how to sell in the Indian market, technology offshoring, where to set up operations, and how to leverage financial and tax benefits in the world’s fourth-largest economy.

“How does one view India today?” Kulkarni asked. “As a customer, technology partner, services provider, business satellite? There are so many options for doing business there, and so many opportunities. We hope to enlighten and entertain, while helping people understand how to cut through the red tape and maximize the opportunities India offers businesses here.”

Joining Kulkarni will be Nitin Deo, vice president of marketing and business development, Clearshape; Raj Dhesikan, director of engineering, new technologies & ventures, Sanmina-SCI; Aurangzeb Khan, corporate vice president of marketing, Cadence; and Suresh Shanmugham, senior vice president, SVB Global, India.

“I strongly support educational programs such as the popular ‘Doing Business in …’ series the Emerging Companies Committee continues to provide our members,” said Bob Gardner, the newly appointed executive director of EDAC. “These informative events are also an excellent member and customer networking opportunity.”

The panel will be held at Silicon Valley Bank, Santa Clara, on Tuesday, Nov. 28. A reception begins at 6pm, followed by the 7pm panel. More information »
