Elma Bustronic Corporation, an industry leading designer and manufacturer of high performance backplanes has developed a new 2-slot CompactPCI backplane. The 9U backplane is horizontally mounted in the chassis, with 3U of the backplane devoted to power supply and header connectors. With the pluggable power connectors and the signal connectors in one monolithic backplane, cabling and sourcing costs are reduced.
