SYSGO AG, the German specialist for embedded system software, will present its portfolio of leading solutions at the debut of AIRTEC 2006, an arerospace suppliers’ trade show taking place in Frankfurt. SYSGO has proven its comprehensive expertise in realising safety-critical and certified (DO-178) software in various industry projects. SYSGO not only offers Linux and real-time software solutions and AFDX software components, but also provides engineering services, certification and support.
SYSGO has a proven track record as a specialist for safe system software in the field of embedded arerospace and defense solutions. The European Aeronautic Defence and Space Company (EADS), which relies on SYSGO’s technology in its future Unmanned Aerial Vehicles, as well as Airbus, are part of SYSGO’s broad customer base. SYSGO was the first to launch a software-only implementation of AFDX (ARINC-664). Learn more about SYSGO’s solutions and consulting services at AIRTEC 2006, taking place at the Frankfurt trade fair from October 17-20, 2006. Meet SYSGO in hall 8, booth E135.
Among the most recent of SYSGO’s arerospace engagements are projects for EADS Military Air Systems and the German Rheinmetall Defence Electronics (RDE):
- SYSGO’s real-time operating system PikeOS will serve as an integration platform for various avionic software components in future EADS UAVs. PikeOS enables the consolidation of these systems on one shared, open and modular platform, which will lead to an overall cost reduction and a reduced space requirements for electronic components. PikeOS gurantees compliance with all required security standards.
- RDE assigned SYSGO with providing, documenting and DO-178B certifying the basis system software for cargo compartment electronics of Airbus A400 M. SYSGO not only delivers the product but also assists RDE with more than 10 man years engineering services during the development.
SYSGO was the first embedded software company to introduce a software-only implementation of AFDX. The ‘Avionic Full-Duplex Switched Ethernet’ (AFDX – ARINC-664) is a specification of a deterministic aircraft data network bus system for avionic transportation. SYSGO’s AFDX software opens new design possibilities that hardware cannot provide and will enable more efficient ways of connecting network components within aircrafts. It is portable, more flexible and much more affordable compared to the currently used ASICs.
