Senior Broadband Wireless Executives Join EION

EION Wireless today announced the appointment of three accomplished executives to join its senior management team. Mr. David King has accepted the position of Chief Strategy Officer with EION Inc., Mr. Chris Beadle has been appointed as Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing, and Mr. Hassan Abdelghany will take on the role of Vice President of Sales; Africa, Middle East and Central Asia.

The executives combine leadership experience from nationwide service providers and leading equipment manufacturers in the Broadband Wireless market that strengthens the commitment of EION Inc to deliver market focused solutions that customers need.

Mr. King has held various entrepreneurial and executive leadership positions in the broadband wireless market and excels at developing strategic alliances that closely link products and services to their market needs. Prior to joining EION Wireless, Mr. King held senior executive positions with Wi-LAN, Compaq and Xerox.

Mr. King’s appointment as Chief Strategy Officer of EION Inc. is effective immediately and he will be based in EION’s Calgary office. He will provide strategic direction to establish product, market and channel leadership for the company. Mr. King was also President and CEO of a venture capital consulting business specializing in corporate capital structure, institutional investment, public offerings, and financial due diligence. He has valuable experience in leading a highly successful electronics contract manufacturing company.

Mr. Chris Beadle was previously Senior Vice President Sales at Wi-LAN Inc. from October 2004 until joining EION April, 2006. Prior to that he held several senior sales and marketing positions in the Canadian telecom and technology sectors including Vice President Marketing at Bell West from 2000 to 2002, Vice President Sales at Bell West from 1999 to 2000 and Vice President Sales and Marketing at TELUS Marketing Services from 1996 to 1999. Mr. Beadle holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree and a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Toronto.

Mr. Hassan Abdelghany rounds out the new team by contributing his extensive knowledge of the Broadband Wireless and telecommunications sector. His experience over the last decade servicing major National Licensed Operators in the Middle East region will be instrumental to EION’s success in the future. As Vice President of Sales; Africa, Middle East and Central Asia, Mr. Abdelghany will fulfill EION’s mandate to lead the company’s sales, marketing and customer support efforts in this important geographical region. Mr. Abdelghany held several Manufacturing Engineering and Senior International Telecom Sales positions in North America and the Middle East Region and holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of Lowell, MA. USA.

These three new executives complement the existing team of current CEO, Kalai S Kalaichelvan and President Terry Curtis. Both of the current executives have extensive executive leadership experience with Nortel Networks.
