Lattice Semiconductor Expands in India

Lattice Semiconductor Corporation (NASDAQ: LSCC) today announced that it has established a sales force and forged partnerships with two major distributors to serve the programmable logic market in India. At a press conference in Bangalore today, Steve Donovan, Lattice corporate vice president of sales, introduced Vincent Su, Lattice Area Sales Manager for India, Korea, Taiwan and Southeast Asia; Rakesh Agarwal, who will be Lattice’s Sales Manager, India; and Lattice’s distribution partners, FE-Global Electronics (India) Pvt Ltd, Dragon Technology Ltd, and Spectra Innovations.

Over the past two years, Lattice has brought five distinct FPGA families to market, which is an unprecedented achievement. Lattice also has begun shipping FPGA devices developed on Fujitsu’s advanced 90nm CMOS technology using 300mm wafers. These products address the rapidly growing demand for low cost/high-volume FPGAs, non-volatile FPGAs and “extreme performance” very high speed FPGAs with embedded ASIC blocks. With the success of these products, Lattice has established itself as the “third force” in the FPGA industry. The Lattice product portfolio, which also includes CPLDs and programmable mixed signal devices, is the broadest in the programmable logic industry.
