Sipex Introduces New Analog Linear Regulators

Posted by EDA Geek News Staff in Components on Wednesday, August 23, 2006

Sipex Corporation (OTC: SIPX.PK) today announced it has added three families of industry standard linear regulators to its power portfolio.

These devices include the SP78XXX family of fixed regulators, the SP317 family of adjustable regulators, and the SP108X family of quasi-LDOs. These 93 additional products enable Sipex to service customer's requirements, while allowing them the opportunity to minimize the number of sources for their design solutions.

These three families of products are used in a wide variety of consumer and industrial applications where point-of-load regulation is required. The SP317 adjustable regulators supply output currents from 100mA to 1A; the SP108X quasi-LDOS output current ranges from 1.5A to 5A, and the SP78XXX fixed regulators have output currents ranging from 100mA to 5A.

"These devices are the building blocks of the power analog TAM and are consumed by a large number of our customers in high volumes. They are a welcome extension to our product offering by broadening the foundation of our power portfolio and allowing Sipex to service more of our customer's power requirements," said Ed Lam, Sr. Vice President of Marketing and Business Development.
