ArchPro Design Automation has named Vinay Srinivas its new vice president of engineering, responsible for managing the company’s global R&D workforce and technical relationships with customers. ArchPro is a leader in the development of EDA products for solving power management design challenges in IC/SoC designs at 90nm and below.
Srinivas joins ArchPro after six years with Sequence Design, a leader in low-power EDA technology, where he pioneered numerous innovative VLSI methodologies, and since the beginning of this year had been a vice president of R&D. During his time with Sequence he also acted as general manager for Sequence India, overseeing a large technical staff and recruiting top talent for the company’s R&D programs there. Srinivas was a senior software engineer with Frequency Technology, later acquired by Sequence, and began his career as a research associate with Stanford Linear Accelerator Center.
“Vinay has a knack for invention, paired with a wealth of R&D and managerial acumen,” said Pratap Reddy, ArchPro chairman and CEO. “He is a valuable addition to our team, and will keep our spirit of innovation fresh, while developing practical solutions for today’s marketplace.”
“ArchPro continues to attract the best EDA talent in sales, engineering, and management because they lead the pack in large-chip, multi-volt analysis and optimization, doing things that no other company even comes close to,” Srinivas said. “We are at the beginning of an exciting roadmap, an exciting future, and I am very pleased to be part of it.”
Srinivas earned his undergraduate degree from IIT Bombay, and did post-grad work at the University of Florida, Gainsville, where he earned his PhD. In his spare time, Srinivas earned a patent for Interconnect Driven Optimization, presented papers and appeared on panels at numerous technical conferences.
ArchPro will be a first-time exhibitor at DAC this month, Booth 2014. ArchPro provides EDA products to meet low-power and multi-voltage design challenges facing 90/65nm SoC designers. Having launched many of the world’s first EDA products for power-managed, multi-voltage, low-power design environments that allow for design simulation, verification and implementation prior to silicon spins, ArchPro is paving the way toward reducing cost, risk, and time to market for chip designers. Products support all major complementary IC / SoC design technologies.
