AdvancedIO Systems, Inc., the market leader in configurable 10 Gigabit Ethernet (10GbE) connectivity and packet processing solutions for the embedded computing market, has received a purchase order to supply a 10GbE packet processing solution to VMETRO, Inc. AdvancedIO’s solution is a key component of VMETRO’s Vortex Data Recording system, which was recently selected by a major US Defense Contractor.
“This order represents the first results of the collaboration agreement which was recently signed between AdvancedIO and VMETRO,” said Tom Bohman, VP Business Development of VMETRO. “By leveraging AdvancedIO’s leading edge products VMETRO expects additional contract awards.”
AdvancedIO will be supplying its V1010 modules, based on Xilinx(TM) FPGAs, and custom development of a packet-processing application. This initial Purchase Order is valued at approximately US $200,000 with additional orders expected over the next two years.
