SYSGO AG, specialist for embedded system software solutions, announced its “SYSGO University Program” – an initiative, which provides leading embedded software solutions to universities and offers students practical experience in their training. Within the scope of the program, SYSGO grants licenses for its real-time enabled, strategic virtualisation platform PikeOS and its integrated development environment for embedded Linux systems, ELinOS, to participating universities.
“Through our university program, we want to contribute our share in preparing students and research groups for the increasingly complex requirements of embedded system technology,” says Knut Degen, CEO at SYSGO. “It is our intention to bring industry and education closer together and enable joint development opportunities for sustainable system software. Through our university program, we provide our leading solutions to a young developer base and enable students to gather solid, practise-based knowledge, which will help to give them a good start into a successful professional life.”
Alongside individual installation and configuration, SYSGO offers training as well as free email support to participating university partners. Additionally, SYSGO provides lecturers with an unlimited number of free copies for use in their courses and seminars. Furthermore, SYSGO supports the universities with the preparation of documents and offers advanced product seminars.
Some universities have already announced their interest in the SYSGO University Program. Participation is not limited to specific countries. SYSGO reserves the right to select suitable college partners. Interested universities and colleges of higher education can apply online for joining the program.
