pure-systems Makes Connection with Mathworks

pure-systems GmbH, the leader in variant management solutions, today announced its acceptance as a member of The MathWorks Connections Program. This partnership is based on the company's pure::variants Connector for Simulink(R), which integrates pure::variants with Simulink(R).

pure::variants Connector for Simulink(R) enables models to be exchanged between Simulink(R) and pure::variants, and automates the generation of Simulink model variants. Aspects of the Simulink models are configured differently depending upon the selected features for the model variant. These can include model parameters and elements, blocks and signal connections to blocks. A final model transformation produces Simulink models matching the desired features.

Mark Dalgarno, of Software Acumen, which distributes pure::variants in the UK and Ireland, also noted "MathWorks are the established leader in the embedded software market so it makes sense for pure-systems to work closely with them. This parternship should raise the profile of variant management in the embedded community and could act as the catalyst for a new wave of model-based embedded software product lines."

The MathWorks Connections Program is available to third-party organizations that develop and distribute complementary, commercially available products and services based on MATLAB(R) and Simulink(R). Connections Program partners help MATLAB users by providing industry or application-specific technology to fill their need for a complete solution. Partner products offer solutions that are seamlessly integrated with MathWorks products and ensure ongoing compatibility in conjunction with new MATLAB releases.

Software Acumen is the UK's only specialist provider of tools and services to organizations developing Software Product Lines – like assembly lines but for software. The company distributes pure::variants in the UK and Ireland on behalf of pure::systems GmbH.

Matlab and Simulink are registered trademarks of The Mathworks Inc.
