ADC, Calypto, ETAS, Lauterbach, MathWorks Join VaST World

VaST Systems Technology Corporation-powering embedded design innovation-today announced VaST World, a partnership initiative that provides VaST’s growing customer base with more complete and better integrated combined VaST and third-party solutions. Initial members of VaST World include Advanced Data Controls, Calypto, ETAS, Lauterbach and The MathWorks.

VaST World defines a structured process by which tool integrations are developed and marketed to common customers. VaST tools are a key part of an ecosystem of tools that comprise design flows addressing all aspects of design, from concept to architecture to verification and implementation. “As designs and flows grow in complexity, customers require more integrated solutions and VaST World helps us deliver to these requirements,” said Linda Prowse-Fosler, vice president of marketing and business development, VaST.

“Lauterbach has had a close working relationship with VaST for some time. Through collaboration we have delivered integrated solutions around Lauterbach’s industry- leading Trace32 product line. As a VaST World member, we are actively working on projects that deliver even tighter integration between our products, to the benefit of our mutual customers,” said Stephan Lauterbach, CEO Lauterbach.

“VaST has enabled the integration of CoMET virtual processor models in Simulink simulations, a valuable extension of Model-Based Design for embedded systems with hardware and software components,” said Jim Tung, MathWorks Fellow at The MathWorks. “Joining VaST World, together with VaST joining The MathWorks Connections Program, provides a strong foundation for this integration.”

“ETAS is a leader in development and diagnostic tools for automotive electronic control units. We are excited to participate in the VaST World program as our products are synergistic and provide leading-edge solutions for our mutual customers,” said Dr. Kai Matthias Pinnow, senior manager partner program, ETAS.

VaST World offers the following benefits:

  • A structured process and named contacts for proposing and initiating integrations.
  • Managed specification and development of interfaces to VaST and 3rd party tools.
  • Access to VaST tool licenses for integration and testing of flows for mutual customers.

About VaST
VaST Systems Technology Corporation tools and models enable the creation of a virtual system prototype-a cycle-accurate software model of a system that operates at near real-time speeds under actual software loads. Solutions from VaST are used for architecture analysis and optimization and for the concurrent development of hardware and software. VaST virtual system prototypes dramatically improve time to market and quality while reducing development costs and risk. Current customers include worldwide leaders in semiconductors, automotive electronics, wireless devices, and consumer electronics. VaST is headquartered in Sunnyvale, California with sales and support offices worldwide.
