Kontron Rolls Out 4U Industrial Rack Mount Workstation with 7″ LCD

The KWS-4070 Rackmount Series is a value-priced 4U height 14-slot rack-mount IPC workstation with color 7.0″ TFT LCD display. It is designed as an all-in-one cost-effective enhanced solution for traditional 4U rack-mount users and new Industrial Automation Controller applications. The Kontron KWS-4070 real time industrial workstation is ideally suited for industrial automation, communication, medical, test & measurement and diagnostic applications.

This KWS-4070 rackmount workstation is designed with front access USB ports for a mouse, keyboard and touch pad drawer or other USB devices. The design of the KWS-4070 also allows for easy maintenance and upgrade. Moreover, the optional capacitive or resistive touch screen 7.0″ TFT LCD with NEMA4 and IP-65 industrial certification standards provides additional functionality for display of control panel, programming or production data or field monitoring records. For additional security enhancements, the LCD module is designed to be easily removable. The workstation has backplane slots available for additional boards. A DVD/CDROM and FDD drive can be accessed from the front panel, protected by a door.

This 4U workstation is designed to meet the diverse and demanding needs of today’s enterprise-class computing environment. A wide range of standard computing peripherals from the current Kontron family can be integrated into the KWS-4070 to meet different application requirements in mission-critical environments all the time.
