Pinnacle Data Systems, Inc. (PDSi) (AMEX: PNS) today announced the appointment of two Vice Presidents. Mr. Rob Harris has been promoted to the positions of Vice President, Global Sales and Marketing, and General Manager of International Business. Mr. George Mehok has been hired for the newly created position of Vice President, Business Solutions Group. Previously, he was Executive Director of Strategic Development with Verizon Wireless.
These appointments continue PDSi’s transition to a global professional services company. With these two key positions filled, the Company expects to accelerate implementation of its Fulcrum initiative and to fully develop and deploy program offerings that leverage its global Fortune 500 customer base, systems and international infrastructure. Aggressive expansion of the Company’s professional service offerings to provide turnkey, cradle-to-grave service programs is being pursued, which will enable it to fulfill complex product and program needs of industry-leading global customers. Those customers value a comprehensive approach to professional engineering, project management and program management services, coupled with our manufacturing, global distribution, logistics and support capabilities which are offered in a unified, collaborative and outsourced manner.
Michael R. Sayre, President and Chief Executive Officer, commented, “Rob Harris has been successfully leading our efforts to sell the Company’s programs and expand our international footprint to support them over the past several months. Prior to coming to PDSi in 2005, he spent 15 years leading sales and operations in positions up to Executive Vice President at computer services company Sarcom, Inc. as it grew from less than $50 million in annual revenues to over $600 million. His drive and enthusiasm are contagious and we look forward to his continued leadership in this expanded role.”
Mr. Sayre continued, “George Mehok comes to us from Verizon Wireless where he led the information technology integration and deployment required for new products, including 3G broadband services, wireless application downloads, multimedia services like video, gaming and music, and wireless e-mail. These efforts contributed to increasing data revenue from $150 million to over $1 billion in the last five years. Prior to his eight years with Verizon Wireless, George spent the first eight years of his career leading both domestic and international system engineering projects and teams with Electronic Data Systems’ Wireless division. We will benefit from his professional services background, leadership skills, and industry experience as we further develop and expand our service offerings as part of the Fulcrum initiative.”
