Digi International (NASDAQ: DGII) today announced acceptance into Rockwell Automation's Encompass Program, a third-party product referencing program that helps Rockwell Automation customers find best-in-industry technologies compatible with Rockwell Automation products. The Digi Connect WAN family of industrial cellular routers has been recognized as best-in-class by Rockwell Automation. These products include wireless routers/gateways that provide connectivity to remote sites and devices via cellular (GSM/CDMA) networks for primary and backup network connectivity.

"Our technology has particular appeal to industrial automation users, and we are pleased to be recognized as best-in-class for providing remote site connectivity for Rockwell industrial automation devices," said Larry Kraft, senior vice president of sales and marketing, Digi International. "For years now, companies have struggled to cost-effectively monitor and manage their remote sites and devices. Our recently launched cellular product line makes it easy to connect hard-to-reach sites and devices, as well as provide cost-effective backup device network connectivity. This helps companies to dramatically increase the productivity of their remote assets, save time and reduce cost of operation and maintenance."

The Digi Connect WAN family of cellular routers provides high-speed wireless connections for remote mission-critical data operations and backup network connectivity. For more information about Digi Cellular products, go online.
